General Questions:

Does the $15.00 Registration fee cover all classes ?
Yes, it covers the first 5 you are allowed to sign-up for , additional classes may be added at no extra charge BUT only after Thursday morning's final registration.

What if I want to take more than 5 classes?
You can register for more classes AFTER initial Registration is done. Check back at Workshop Booth Thursday afternoon with Director Ellen Werksman and if there are spaces open in any classes you can register at that time!

What do I do if I sign up for a class and the Competition is running off schedule?
Just do the best you can to come to the class. We understand the Competition comes first.

Can I come to a class late OR leave early to compete?
Yes, but be respectful of others while entering and leaving the room.

I signed up for a class, now I can't come because my Teacher wants us to practice, what do I do?
Your competition comes first. If you wish to make-up that class, chat with Workshop Director Ellen Werksman and if space is available in another class, you can come.

I want to be in the Choreography Presentation, but can't make all the rehearsals...what do I do?
The only requirement for the Choreography Presentation is that you know the dances!! Use common sense when signing up for this experience. If you can only come to one rehearsal, then this isn't for you. If you can come to a couple, learn the dance, get your spacing...then you will be fine! You are also encouraged to learn the dance from your fellow dancers (and they may not be from your studio) this way for each rehearsal everyone knows what they missed.

What do I wear for the Choreography Presentation?
All Black as a basic foundation and The Workshop T-shirt you must purchase.

If I want to be a Scholarship Applicant do I owe an additional $15.00?
No, .it is one fee for all dancers for all classes.

How does Applause decide who gets a Scholarship?
Scholarships are awarded on several different criteria:
Ability to take correction / direction in class
Versatility as a dancer
Technique
Integrity and Attitude in class

When filling out my 3x5 card, what does "conflicts" mean?
Each dancer (when filling out the 3x5 card) MUST fill out their conflicts for the summer and Fall. We don't want to award you a Scholarship to a location you can't attend because of a conflict such as: family vacation, attendance at another workshop, beginning of school etc. So tell us what else you are committed to during the summer and Fall. This really helps us and YOU!

Do I have to wear my Scholarship Ribbon in class everyday?
Yes!

Do I have to be present when Scholarships are Awarded?
We prefer that you are!
